Williamsburg in Winter

Visitors rarely get to experience Colonial Williamsburg -- Virginia's Colonial Capitol -- under winter storm conditions. These images were taken when Williamsburg was unexpectedly besieged by a winter storm that left fifteen inches of freshly fallen snow in its wake. I stayed up all night watching the fallen snow and gleefully trudged the three miles on foot into town the next morning (the roads were closed) to capture these unusual vistas. The only footprints in the snow that morning were mine...
